About Bechdel Testing Life

In 2017 we collected audio recordings of real-life ‘Bechdel test passing’ conversations (donated by our followers on social media), and gave the recordings to playwrights to use as inspiration.

We produced these 10-15 minute plays in a series called Bechdel Testing Life, which played to sold-out audiences at Theatre Deli Camberwell in January 2017 and The Bunker Theatre in July 2017.

The project included brand new work by Bridget Minamore, Melissa Dunne, Guleraana Mir, Isely Lynn, Lizzie Milton, and Rabiah Hussain.
